Hedgehog Injuries

This hedgehog is suffering from "Balloon Syndrome”. He had a small tear in his windpipe, so that every time he breathed in air became trapped under his skin. The air was removed by a vet and the windpipe repaired itself and he was released after a few days.

We see many hedgehogs with head injuries like this caused by strimmers or other cutting tools.

This is the same hedgehog after his visit to the vets where his wound was sewn up.
